The brief
The client wanted to produce accurate, digital records for their two cemeteries and asked us for our help.
The challenge
The oldest cemetery records, dating back over 150 years, included faded handwritten entries needing transcription and typed documents requiring OCR. These had to be combined before uploading to the management system.
The solution
We used our in-depth knowledge and experience of interpreting and transcribing burial records to decipher the content, fill in any gaps, pull all the information together and create files compatible for uploading to the client’s cemetery software.
