The brief
The Chapel St Leonards Parish Council wanted to improve the quality of their burial records by transcribing and digitising their cemetery map to make it easier for it to be viewed internally and by the public.
The challenge
The success of this project relied on us using our extensive specialist knowledge in transcribing burial records, to fill in gaps in the grave information supplied, from multiple sources and formats, to ensure an accurate and complete record, before pulling it all together into a single digital resource.
The solution
Once the transcription was complete, one interactive digital map was created and supplied in a file format compatible for upload to the administrative system used by the client, improving the quality of the information and enabling easier public access for the future.
